Welcome 2018...you will be here in 5 days and I say WELCOME! 2016 and 2017 were so..so years, but according to my astrological sign 2018 will be the year of the Callie. Since I tend to be the queen of the rut...and yes, the crown is firmly planted on my head, I am giving into Carrie Green's 21 Mini Adventures to start off my year...with my own Callie Spin. I will be updating as I accomplish each goal, so check back to see the mini adventure unfold!
Day 2 - Go somewhere new for lunch.
Dixie Dog in Stamford, Texas was my place of choice. Even though it is literally within a mile from my office, I can't tell you the last time I went there for lunch. But on a cold December day, nothing compares to the yumminess that is this homemade hamburger...their onion rings are also amazing!
Apple Music picked a "Chill Mix" for me and among the selection was the haunting song by Of Monsters and Men that I had never heard. It is added to my rotating playlist now =)
So I picked out my first episode of #Girlboss radio with Sophia Amoruso. Loved it! Sophia is really easy to listen to and has a fun spin on the topic!
On each episode of the podcast, Sophia interviews boundary-pushing women who've made their mark—eschewing polite conversation and extracting solid advice from the lessons they've learned along the way.
Expect hilarious co-hosts and vulnerable, honest conversations about redefining "success" that you won't hear anywhere else. Conversations that humanize the known, champion the unknown, and laugh a little at the absurdity of life.
